The Maintenance Specialist, Metering & Sampling is responsible for performing daily metering, analysis, and sampling maintenance activities, ensuring safe and high-quality work practices while optimizing equipment availability throughout the facility. This role guarantees the accuracy and reliability of critical analytical systems that monitor gas composition, process efficiency, and environmental compliance. This position is located in Brownsville, TX.
+ Demonstrate proactive safety attitude at all times. + Always uses safe work practices and follows NextDecade lifesaving rules and permitting processes. safety and wellbeing of execution team, leads by example to set and maintain a positive safety culture of compliance and continuous improvement for Apprentices and Contractors. + Communicates and works with all maintenance disciplines as required, not just the Metering and Analyzer team, including Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Plant Services, Planning, Specialist Vendors and Contractors upholding the One-Team approach. + Initial support and continued review of Preventative & Corrective Maintenance Plans aligned to the equipment selected for this facility. + Participate in the reviewing of maintenance documentation, such as WI’s, JSA’a and SWMMs, Permitting, red lining of documents. + Participate in the metering, analyzer and sampling maintenance execution activities of all breakdowns, corrective and preventative maintenance in the facility. + Responsible to safely complete all planned activities on the locked schedule, maximizing tool time and minimizing cost & deferrals. + Stakeholder in the review of materials and parts optimization. + Demonstrate continuous improvement, value-enhancing programs, and cost-saving initiatives. + Attend all the required maintenance execution meetings, including HSSE meetings, pre-starts, work allocation tasks, toolboxes etc.
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent. + 5+ years of post-qualification experience. + SME for all metering, analyzer and sampling activities. + Competent at interpreting Engineering Drawings and Documentation i.e. P&ID, ISO, GA, Logic, Control Narratives, Cause & Effect, Loop & Wiring, etc. + Must have experience with the testing and inspection of Safety Critical Elements (SCE), Statutory and Federal Regulatory compliance. + Experience in GOAL setting and performance management. + Good working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP or Similar). + Experience reviewing and redlining critical Maintenance procedures. + Good working knowledge of an MOC process. + Relevant I & C LNG maintenance experience including Integrated Control & Safety Systems (DCS / SIS), PLC’s. + Extensive experience with gas chromatography, spectroscopy, and other analytical technologies used in LNG operations. + Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on analyzers such as gas chromatographs, oxygen analyzers, moisture analyzers, and LNG sampling systems. + SME with flow computers, gas turbine processes, custody metering, all flow transmitter types for various media. + SME with Analyzers, Gas Chromatographs, LNG Sampling systems, fire & gas detection systems, anti surge control systems, and field instrumentation is a must. + Knowledge of communication network protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU or TCP, OPC, HART, etc. + Ability to get a Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC).
+ Bachelor’s or associate degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or Analytical Technology. + 5+ years LNG Export Facility experience in an Analyzer Maintenance Technician role. + 10+ years' experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industries.
