Maintenance Planning:
•Plans, schedules and implements preventative and corrective maintenance for stationary (and mobile) equipment repairs in coordination with Maintenance and Operations.
•Monitors, evaluates and maintains the necessary parts for scheduled maintenance.
•Ensures all equipment has the appropriate preventive maintenance set up on proper intervals
•Coordinates and acts as a point of contact for completion of work for contractors, suppliers and service providers as needed
•Plans each significant job and determines safety requirements, job steps, blueprints, materials, special equipment needs, and manpower required to perform necessary work
•Tracks status of backlog - which jobs are planned and ready to perform, which jobs are waiting for materials, which jobs can only be done on major shutdowns, age of backlog
•Ensures all work orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished and ensures proper documentation is included
•Schedules and follows up, while acting in a “hands on” manner to ensure preventive/corrective maintenance actions are implemented as planned
•Utilizes, documents and maintains transactions within SAP (or any future ERP system).
Warehousing:
•Responsible for maintaining warehouse at each site, inventory counts, receiving/logging in parts, shipping out items for repairs, etc.
•Management of SAP inputs/outputs for inventory and the coordination and support of incoming, and outgoing materials and supplies.
•Maintains inventory control of items received and charged out of the warehouse.
•Assists in expediting outstanding purchase orders.
•Conducts physical inventory of parts and supplies on an "as scheduled" basis.
•Acts as the primary support and interface for inbound and outbound shipments
•Creates Work Orders and Purchase Requisitions
•Monitors and documents fuel and oil usage
•Order supplies as needed
•Maintains strong housekeeping standards and a clean work environment
•Proactively communicates efficiently with plant supervision
•All other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
•Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree preferred
•Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
•Complies with all Carmeuse and MSHA required safety regulations and company policies including but not limited to proper use of PPE and LOTOTO (Lockout, Tagout, Tryout).
•Computer skills at intermediate level or better required including MS Office Suite, and database programs.
•ERP (SAP) experience a plus.
•Have professional attitude coupled with the ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•Outstanding organizational skills and proficient and efficient work habits.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Strong skills in prioritizing multiple tasks.
Knowledge:
•3+ years experience in either maintenance, purchasing, customer service or administrative
•Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn industrial production equipment operation and maintenance.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Self-starter with ability to work independently.
•Experience working with vendors and contractors a plus.
•Ability to think quickly when issues arise and use good judgment to make and carry out decisions that end in favorable results.
•Willingness to continue education through company sponsored programs.
•Analytical, process driven, with proven ability to meet deadlines and accept ownership.
