Oxbow is currently seeking a Tax Manager to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the company’s sales and use tax compliance, property tax compliance, and will lead additional value-added projects within the organization. Oxbow Calcining LLC is currently looking for a Maintenance Person to join our team in Enid, OK. This position will be responsible for the maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to ensure maximum contribution to the safety, quality and productivity of the plant.

Job Duties

- Adhere to Oxbow’s Health & Safety Policies.

- Understand and comply with all applicable International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements for the facility, including OSHA, environmental regulations, and quality standards.

- Diagnose, repair, and calibrate machinery as needed.

- Perform maintenance and operation tasks relating to mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic systems, and preventive maintenance.

- Maintain awareness of safety protocols and promptly report safety concerns to the supervisor or Safety Coordinator.

- Collaborate with plant maintenance personnel and contractors to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

- Contribute to process efficiency by identifying and addressing operational bottlenecks.

- Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives relevant to job functions.

- Communicate maintenance performance and follow directives from the maintenance supervisor.

- Complete work orders, documenting time, tasks, and required parts or supplies.

- Update documentation regarding changes to machinery and equipment.

- Conduct maintenance duties as required, both on-call and as scheduled.

- Assist management with special projects, workflow improvements, and other assigned tasks.

- Participate in plant health and safety activities, such as committee meetings, inspections, toolbox talks, job safety analysis (JSAs), incident/near miss investigations, and formal monthly safety training.

- Operate mobile equipment necessary for material or parts handling (including man lifts, forklifts, and work trucks).

- Understand and comply with all relevant health and safety rules and requirements for their work and the general safety of other employees.

- Apply maintenance department expertise to support safety in maintenance, operational, and related activities.

- Communicate effectively and clearly in various communication settings and styles, adapting messages as needed.

- Set goals and objectives that are specific, measurable, achievable, and relevant.

- Organize and plan work in an orderly manner.

- Adhere to compliance standards.

- Demonstrate knowledge of welding and cutting techniques, including the safe operation of welding equipment, and follow established safety procedures, policies, JSA, and JSOPs during hot work.

- Plan, lay out, fabricate, and perform welding and cutting job tasks as required.

- Perform manual tasks as part of the work and take responsibility for completed work.

- Operate mobile equipment in the plant, such as forklifts and manlifts, as needed for assigned tasks.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

- Minimum of two years of experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment, or completion of a two-year technical degree from an accredited technical school.

Physical Requirements

- Work is primarily performed in a plant setting, which may involve exposure to challenging or adverse weather conditions.

- May be required to lift, carry, move, or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

- Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas up to 160 feet.

- Proficiency with various tools such as wrenches and pipe wrenches; tasks include turning and tightening nuts and bolts.

- Capability to climb stairs and ladders, and perform duties at heights of approximately 160 feet.

- Must meet general physical fitness standards.

- Operation of heavy equipment across the facility may be necessary.

- Completion of safety training specific to the facility is required.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with other employees and external auditors/examiners.

- Frequent or constant work around moving, vibrating, or rotating equipment is expected.

- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye and hearing protection, hardhat, appropriate gloves, steel-toed boots, dust mask, and fall protection must be used as applicable.

- Position involves participation in a rotating on-call schedule, as well as occasional weekend or evening overtime assignments.

- Travel may be required based on operational needs.
