We are hiring for our overnight and weekend shifts.
The overnight shift is Monday through Thursday, 4:30 PM until 5 AM.
The weekend shift is Friday through Sunday, from 5 AM until 5 PM.
Shift differentials are applied in addition to base salary.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the repair of electrical & electronic CNC equipment programming interfaces, portable air and electric production tools, hydraulic equipment, welding equipment & controls, Kinetic burning and drilling machines, and facility building and yard maintenance requiring a high level of technical skill and interface between team members in all areas of the shop while promoting and ensuring a safe working environment.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
• Strong knowledge and experience on electronic controls and PLC programming.
• Certified Lincoln Electric controller repair.
• Strong background in CNC programming for various machining centers and burn tables.
• Assure safe equipment handling and repair techniques are utilized at all times by all personnel
• Advise floor supervisors of equipment repair status(s)
• Work with crews to accomplish production goals, and quality needs and requirements
• Ensure all documentation is filled out and accurate, work orders / log book
• When issues occur, stop and alert supervisor(s), discuss a solution
• Actively identify ways of improving performance
• Maintain a safe working area and clean up after task is done
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Identify problems of all equipment, find a safe solution in a timely manner, know where to go for needed resources, process paper work, maintain inventory using the implemented process(s)
• Effectively communicate with crews, supervisors, and office personnel
• Anticipate needs of equipment and inform supervisors of status(s)
• Use cost-effective processes and solutions
• Working knowledge of 3-Phase Electrical Systems
Working Conditions
A Maintenance worker working at Veritas Steel performs work indoors in a large warehouse environment, as well as outdoors. There is regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel, and other possible hazardous conditions.
Earplugs, hard hats, respirators, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots with metatarsal guards are required.
