We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Maintenance Coordinator. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will be on a 5x2 Monday to Friday rotation – 8-hour day shifts

Job Responsibilities:

•

Create Safe Work Procedures (SWP’s) for mechanical maintenance work and update as required

•

Daily field audit and completion of safety management checklist

•

Assist Maintenance team with morning line up, distribution of workforce; strive for schedule adherence

•

Assist Maintenance team during shutdowns, including

+ Lead daily update meetings + Ensure maintenance team is sticking to the schedule for progression of work, provide feedback when this is not possible + Interface between planning team and maintenance team when required + Lead after action review meeting and assign actions as required

•

Attend/contribute to monthly maintenance safety meetings

•

Track schedule compliance KPI and enter data into weekly schedule

•

Lead quarterly 5S planning/scheduling improvement projects to completion

•

Monitor and analyze maintenance reports, work orders, and history to optimize effective and efficient procedures, planning, and scheduling.

•

Ensure behavior is compliant with the site’s Safety Management Plan.

•

Ensure that site-related records are filed following company policy and statutory and contractual requirements.

•

Contributes to Maintenance Shutdown planning strategies to identify and prioritize future maintenance requirements and work with operations, engineering, maintenance, and outside contractors to ensure successful and safe execution.

•

Efficient ordering of parts through appropriate channels and approvals to execute sound planning activities.

•

Ensure the maintenance system is fully utilized to ensure transparency across the business and maintained accordingly.

•

Liaise with Maintenance Supervisors and purchasing and communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure resources are available when required.

•

Provide feedback to relevant leadership personnel regarding site issues that may affect the operating and financial performance of the operation and equipment.

•

Manage equipment transfer or disposal process; complete forms and send to areas where required, ensuring required approvals.

•

Constantly seek continuous improvement opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

•

Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry, including Plant maintenance, safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization.

•

Ellipse/CMMS knowledge preferred

•

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees.

•

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

•

Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.

•

Excellent work ethic and attendance record.

•

5+ years minimum mining experience

Education:

•

Journeyperson Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma (Preferred)

•

Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Industrial/ Electrical/Process)

License:

•
Driver’s License (Required)
