Position Title: Maintenance Area Manager - Site Services
Location: Green River, WY
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of rotable / repairable equipment
- Provide leadership and direction to the Plant Maintenance team including the accountability for growth and development of talent within the organization
- Manage Rentals for all sites
o Manage the mobile equipment rentals for the surface locations
o Approve or deny rentals based on applicable need
o Collaborate with business units and internal customers to ensure the most efficient usage of rental equipment is occurring.
o If rentals are approved, monitor the usage and manage timely returns
- Oversee the repairs and reliability of mobile equipment
o Ensure uptime and preventative maintenance improvements
o Lead mobile equipment repair turn-around time improvements
- Develop and manage the 5-year capital plan for mobile equipment
o Develop a cycle strategy to balance vehicle purchase cost to maintenance cost ratio
o Determine an estimated life span of vehicles in the fleet
- Develop and manage the 5-year capital plan for Maintenance Site Services
- Develop and manage Surface Maintenance training
- Ensure adequate resourcing for plant needs through the Farmer and Work Release processes
- Provide coverage and support as needed across the business
- Collaborate cross functionally with various departments, including but not limited to Procurement, Accounting, Maintenance, Operations, and Capital.
- Collaboration with other departments includes but is not limited to:
o Ensure equipment is registered with the county and appropriately tagged when applicable
o Purchase new equipment
o Obtain discounts for unit pricing
o Facilitate warranty contracts
o Obtain parts and Service discounts
o Ensure requests for mobile equipment are necessary and fiscally responsible.
o Ensure the requested mobile equipment aligns with the company’s mobile vehicle strategy
o Ensure all new mobile equipment is added to the asset ledger
o Ensure old equipment is retired appropriately and removed from the asset ledger
o Ensure the maintenance department can properly maintain new equipment
- Parts availability
- Service availability
o Assist in the setup of training for the maintenance department for specific equipment needs
- Interface with departments for upskilling of Surface Maintenance by:
- Identify training needs for Surface Maintenance and ensure all trainings are scheduled and executed effectively.
- Oversee management of Surface Maintenance training plan- 3 + years of demonstrated supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment.
- Strong knowledge of rental and permanent equipment, including vehicle utilization in an operational setting.
- Experience coordinating across multiple facilities and functions.
- Demonstrated success with collaboration and influence.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of asset maintenance needs, including planning/scheduling, tracking, and reliability improvements
- Strong SAP and Microsoft Office skills preferred
