Edmonton Exchanger is a one-stop manufacturing and maintenance shop that supplies pressure vessel components, field services, machining, heat exchanger services, custom fabrication, and pipe fabrication.
We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Journeyman machinist for our Machine Shop. Edmonton Exchanger offers a diverse range of machining capabilities, including lathes, as well as vertical and horizontal boring mills. Our machine shop was designed to handle large diameter components and boasts equipment that is some of the largest of its kind.
Combined Compensation Rate Range: $54.88 – $60.11 Hourly (see below for details) for Journeyman Machinist, based on Qualifications and Experience.

•$2.23 – $2.47 (Based on 5% Statutory Holiday pay)
•$1.79 – $1.98 (Based on 4% Vacation pay – increase to 6% after 12 months)

Reporting Relationships
Journeyman Machinist will report directly to the Machine Shop Foreman.
Principal Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountability
The successful candidate will be required to learn to operate all machines. We have a diverse mix of manual and CNC equipment. They must also be willing to work swing shift, which involves 2 weeks on a 7:30 am to 4:00 pm shift and 2 weeks on a 4:00 pm to 12:30 am shift, on a rotating basis. The employee will receive a rate increase of $1.75 per hour when working the afternoon shift.

The Machine Shop Foreman will communicate consistently on projects being done and offer feedback or support when needed.

Qualifications
The following qualifications are desirable to ensure success in this position.
•Experience operating horizontal and vertical boring mills
•CNC experience with an emphasis on Siemens controllers, specifically the 802D.
•Ability to read and interpret drawings
•Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift with emphasis on safety
