DT Equipment Repair is looking for qualified Red Seal Machinist/Millwright for a Fly In/Fly Out position in Northern Canada.
•Proven experience in CNC machining, including setup and operation of various machines. Lathes, Mills & Horizontal Boring Machines.
•Proficiency in using software for programming and machining.
•Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Minimum of 5 yrs experience
•Must be physically fit and highly motivated with a solid work ethic

Overall Responsibilities:
•Perform preventative maintenance
•Diagnose and repair equipment deficiencies
•Communicate with site management to coordinate maintenance priorities
•Maintain maintenance records
•Promote safety awareness by ensuring compliance of corporate health and safety policies and procedures
•Review drawings in metric and standard.
•Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, mills, and horizontal boring machines.
•Utilize software for programming and optimizing machining processes.
•Perform machining tasks with a focus on quality, precision, and efficiency.
•Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
•Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
•Maintain and troubleshoot machining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
•Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.
Qualifications:
•MANDITORY - Machinist/Millwright – Journeyman (Red Seal) Certified
•Minimum 5 years of experience working with CAT, John Deere and Hitachi equipment
•Minimum 5 years in Heavy Civil Earthworks Construction and/or Mining
•Have the ability to deal with large volumes of work and demanding situations
•Energy Safety Canada CSO training
•Willingness to work in NWT and working a rotational schedule
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
•Valid Class 5 operators license (candidate to provide current abstract)
•Standard First Aid certification is required
•Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection and Ariel Work Platform certifications are required
Work Schedules and Compensation Package:
•$55-$60 per Hour (1.5X Overtime after 8hrs Daily & 40hrs weekly, 2X after 12hrs Daily)
•Fly in/Fly out positions - Fort McMurray/NWT's
