Machine Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our steel production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production and processing of steel products. This role requires a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency while ensuring that equipment operates correctly and meets production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

+ Set up, operate, and monitor machinery used in steel production (e.g., rolling mills, cutting machines, lathes, CNC machines). + Adjust machine settings to ensure product quality and meet specifications. + Load raw materials into the machine and handle finished products safely.

+ Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. + Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues and coordinate with the maintenance team for complex repairs. + Keep records of maintenance activities and machine performance.

Quality Control:

+ Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. + Identify defects or inconsistencies and take corrective actions as needed. + Maintain accurate records of production output and quality reports.

Safety Compliance:

+ Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. + Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. + Report safety hazards, near misses, or incidents to the supervisor promptly.

+ Maintain detailed logs of production cycles, machine settings, and incidents. + Provide daily reports on production output and equipment performance. + Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance and maintenance.

Team Collaboration:

+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless production operations. + Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. + Assist with training new team members as needed.

Qualifications:

+ Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting industrial machinery. + Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. + Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is a plus.
