MACHINE OPERATOR
We are actively looking for a mechanically inclined Machine Operators to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Operate various machines (mills, lathes, CNC, thread rollers, saw) used to process materials.
-Load and unload parts in a safe and productive manner
-Follow instructions from the Work Order and/or other written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks.
-Verify dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, verniers, and other measuring instruments as required
-Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner.
-Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances.
-Inform supervisor or team lead of non-conformance issues.
-Work in other areas or departments as assigned
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist in the shipping department
-Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
-Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Mechanically inclined
-Experience working with measurement tools i.e. micrometers, calipers, verniers, gauges
-Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
-Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral)
-Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
-Must possess basic math skills
Need to have a good understanding of the English language both spoken and written to be able to follow work instructions and guidelines. All jobs have work orders to follow with charts and notes that need to be filled out.
