Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at Sunoptics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machinery, ensuring quality production standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires a strong understanding of machine operations and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Duties

Operate and monitor machinery

Set up machines according to specifications and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Utilize tooling and hand tools effectively for assembly line tasks and product assembly.

•

Conduct quality checks on finished products using basic math skills to ensure compliance with standards.

•

Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform necessary adjustments to minimize down time.

•

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

•

Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

•

Familiarity with CNC machinery, lathes, presses, and assembly line operations.

•

Strong understanding of tooling techniques and the ability to use hand tools effectively.

•

Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.

•

Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

•

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

•

Must be production and quality oriented and meet efficiency/quality metrics.
