Machine Operator/Material Handler

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Machine Operator/Material Handler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery, handling materials, and ensuring the efficient flow of production processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge, experience with CNC programming, and familiarity with precision measuring instruments. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and optimizing production efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor machinery including CNC milling machines, flexo presses, stamping presses, and press brake machines.

- Perform setup and adjustments on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for machine operation.

- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.

- Read blueprints and technical drawings to understand specifications and requirements.

- Handle materials efficiently throughout the manufacturing facility, ensuring proper storage and organization.

- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols.

- Assist in fabrication processes using hand tools and welding techniques as needed.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

- Familiarity with Fanuc systems and CAM programming is preferred.

- Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is essential.

- Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations.

- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is advantageous.

- Previous experience operating forklifts and handling materials is a plus.

- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
