LV Energy Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team in Lacombe as an Electrical Maintenance Technician.

Successful candidate primary role will be to work with the leadership team, and maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of the heater fleet throughout the heating season, and help lead a successful maintenance campaign in offseason. Understanding of boiler systems an asset. Instrumentation, and industrial experience are assets. Safety tickets an asset (i.e. CSTS, First Aid, H2S Alive). Must have well rounded knowledge of plc systems, vfd’s, the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications. Majority of time will be spent in and around the Lacombe shop, must be ready for service calls for our heating, boiler, water transfer, and water treatment divisions around the province. Successful candidate will supply all tools and meters required for the job, other than some specialty gear.

Daily Tasks Include:

-Performing preventative maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems on skid heaters.

-repairing and rebuilding devices, and instruments

-testing skid heaters before they go into field

-taking calls to go into field to repair skid heaters, and other equipment as necessary (mostly winter, active heating season)

-programming, and commissioning vfd’s and flow meters in field when necessary

-troubleshooting, and load banking generators

-performing maintenance on equipment in shop, yard, and office spaces.
