Lubrication Specialistwithin this division who takes as much pride in their craft as we do to work embedded within our customer’s facility to monitor equipment health, implement practical solutions, and increase the facilities uptime overall through sound lubrication practices.
Job Description:
The Lubrication Specialist manages the plant’s lubrication program on site by establishing practical but detailed tasks for each asset, completing certain routes themselves and ensuring others are adhered to, and fine-tuning at all levels of the program to reduce human error. Most of this work will be carried out in the field, with responsibilities to include:
- Taking oil samples on an established route, gathering machinery data, and testing lube oil on site as needed
- Leading oil changes on plant equipment and training operators to properly execute these tasks
- Installing, monitoring, and maintaining automatic grease systems
- Utilizing CMMS software to create tasks, capture information, and present reports to customer management
- Operate lube oil filtration equipment on site (vacuum dehydrators & filter carts), both cycling them through equipment on an established schedule and one-off issues as they arise
- Compare information with the vibration analyst to fine-tune lube products and frequencies
- Modify equipment to with sight glasses, desiccant breathers and various specialized fittings to prevent contamination with the lube oil and improve PMs
- Apply technology-enabled tags to each asset
- Change out desiccant breathers and lube oil filters as needed
- Communicate technical issues and solutions with plant management
- Monitor the inventory and cleanliness of the lube oil storage area for efficient handling practices
The Lubrication Specialist reports to the Reliability Services Engineer, is supported by the Field Professional, and works alongside the Vibration Analyst.

- “Always learning” mentality – hungry to learn and an understanding that there is always more to know
- Must be a US citizen with an active driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to perform work safely in the plant environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking up/down stairs or ladders, and climbing in, under, and around large equipment
- Available for occasional call-outs, as dictated by the customer
- Adhere to the company’s drug testing policy and submit to random testing
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
- Experience in a plant environment working with rotating equipment
- MLT or other lubrication certifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Job Type: Full time M-T; hourly, 40 hours per week – 4/10 schedule; OT eligible
Pay: $24-$26 per hour
