Job Summary:
•Under minimal supervision, diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment (e.g. track hoes, trucks, skid loaders, graders, pavers, track loaders, miscellaneous small equipment, etc.) Fuel, service and grease equipment.
Hours:
•Ability to work hourly full time.
•Generally, work 50 hours per week which may include Saturdays. May be less hours due to weather conditions.
•Generally full-time shifts are from 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and 7:00am to 3:30pm on some Saturdays.
•More hours may be required based on weather and needs of the projects.
•Winter layoff may occur annually.
Required Qualifications:
•Ability to work in various weather conditions required.
•Authorized to work in the United States required.
•Minimum of at least 18 years of age required.
•Tanker, Hazmat, and Air Brakes endorsements.
Preferred Qualifications:
•High school education or equivalent preferred.
Job Qualifications:
•Ability to maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs required.
•Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation and Nebraska Department of Roads regulations required.
•Knowledge of air brakes and manual transmissions required.
•Ability to demonstrate understanding of various construction and paving equipment (e.g. excavator, track loader, rubber tire loader, wheeled loader, skid steer, compaction roller, tractor and disc, work bridge, slip form paver, trimmer, dozer, motor grader, etc.) to load and unload required.
