Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our environmental transportation team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting Non-Hazardous and Hazardous waste to their designated disposal facility locations. You will operate various types of trucks and trailers, including flatbeds, end dumps, roll off's, and tankers. Duties:
•Safely operate trucks and trailers to transport liquid and solid waste to designated facilities.
•Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment as needed.
•Follow all traffic laws and DOT regulations while on the road.
•Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe working condition.
•Maintain communication with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
•Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and load details.
Important Notes:
•Travel is required – Drivers must be comfortable being on the road and away from home for 2 to 3 weeks at a time.
•Assignments may span across multiple states with varying site conditions.
•Drivers do not schedule their own routes; all scheduling is managed by dispatch.
Qualifications:
•Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements – All are required.
•Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience with a clean driving record.
•Experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
•Familiarity with multiple trailer types, including roll-off (single and double rail), end dumps, flatbeds, and tankers.
•Solid knowledge of load securement techniques.
•Ability to operate loading/unloading equipment safely and efficiently.
•Strong time management skills to meet demanding delivery deadlines.
•Professional communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
