L&S Enterprises, LLC is a state-certified electrical contracting firm specializing in designing and implementing energy-efficient lighting and lighting control systems. Service territory includes Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas.
Our Lighting/Electrical Technicians perform energy-efficient lighting upgrades for our federal, municipal and educational partners. Job duties will vary, but could include operation of hand and power tools, pulling wire, making up joints and terminating connections, working with large equipment, loading and unloading material/equipment, replacing lamps and ballasts with LED products in commercial and industrial facilities, installing lighting control devices such as occupancy switch sensors, room occupancy sensors, and power packs where instructed.
Primary tasks include retrofitting existing lighting fixtures, installing LED light bar kits, replacing fluorescent and LED lamps, changing socket bars and sockets, installing reflectors, installing door kits, and replacing pin or screw in lamps.
The position will require work to be performed on elevated platforms including ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and/or other mechanized equipment.
The typical work week is Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts. Shift times may vary depending on project.
The preferred candidate will have electrical-related experience and previous physical labor experience. Technical skills and training that are needed to succeed in this role will be provided through on-the-job training. Candidate must be okay with weekly travel.
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
JLA Badge is preferred. All individuals hired into this role must undergo a background check and meet Level 2 screening requirements pursuant to Florida State Statute 1012.32 prior to starting.
