Licensing Engineering Intern Summer 2026

About the role:

As a Licensing Engineering intern, you will use knowledge obtained from core college courses. Working with other internal departments on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.

You will report to the Operating Plants Licensing Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid full-time hybrid internship in the summer.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide licensing and technical submittals of engineering design and analysis for nuclear power plant products, including nuclear fuel, spent-fuel management, service and maintenance, and instrumentation and controls

- Work with customers and other internal departments on engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments

- Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements

- Develop expertise in US nuclear regulations

Qualifications:

- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering

- Minimum GPA of 3.0

- Complete sophomore year of college

- US Citizen or Permanent Resident

- No relocation assistance provided

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
