Summary:
Essential Duties:
•Directly responsible for quality, productivity, safety, morale and continuous improvement of this portion of our business.
•Minimum 2 years management/manufacturing experience.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Excellent interpersonal skills with customers and team members.
•Must be willing to work first shift (6 am to 2:30 pm) Monday through Thursday.
•Safety - You come to work fit and healthy, work safely, look out for the safety of others, eliminate and report hazards, use protective equipment, and report incidents immediately. You proactively provide written suggestions to improve safety or you are an active member of the safety committee
•Teamwork - You are quick to lend a hand without being asked, communicate openly, teach others, and improve our work methods.
•Attendance – You show up on time and ready to work. You consistently work whenever needed without complaint or comment (i.e. overtime).
•Quality of Work – You only produce quality work the first time and you attend to the details.
•Hustle – You consistently pursue exceeding efficiency standards, you perform at a high energy level and with a sense of urgency.
Preferred but not required:
•Able to stock machines / load fixtures or vices, can wash parts in the hurricane wash, can replace indexable inserts.
•Capable of operating all machines, can perform all PMs, can replace and adjust collets and clamps, can run all jobs, can troubleshoot faults and complete stickups.
•Operate the Lever equipment in a safe and effective manner
•Measure and monitor parts using appropriate instruments to meet all quality standards (conformance)
•Meet production rates (employee efficiency)
•Track time properly - punch in/out of work orders properly for accurate time tracking and part counts
•Replaces worn tools, may use statistical process control
Candidate Requirements:
•Preferable, but not required: high school diploma or equivalent
•Understanding a manufacturing environment with an attention to detail
•A team player with excellent communication skills
•Strong commitment to doing quality work
•Work with high energy and a sense of purpose
•Willingness to learn and then apply
•Basic computer skills are required
•Supports all company goals and demonstrates initiative
Job Demands:
Strength – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Environment:
Due to the environment – the following are required: hearing protection, slip resistant shoes and eye protection. Work area is an oily environment. Steel-toed non-skid boots/shoes are required.
