Machine Operator

Overview

The Operator is responsible for operating a Pettibone forklift to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. The Operator controls machine functions by pressing buttons as well as manipulating levers and pedals. The Operator will be required safely move the steel around in way that is needed to support operations such as loading and unloading trucks. The Pettibone operator is to always have full control of the equipment and the load that it is carrying in a professional, safe manner and will maximize productivity by planning moves to be the most efficient.
