NDE Technician – Level II

Position Overview
Credo is currently looking for hard working and dependable individuals for placement as a Level II NDE Technician qualified under ASNT SNT-TC-1a to support pipeline construction and maintenance work throughout the lower 48. The Level II NDT Technician will work in performing specific calibrations, specific Nondestructive Tests, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations.
Responsibilities: Included, but not limited to:
Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders. Level will be commensurate with experience and skill set.
•Ensure operational safety of all equipment
•Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
•Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection on gas and liquid pipelines
•Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
•Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
•Organize and report test results
•Perform specialized inspections
•May instruct and supervise others
•Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
•Set up and utilize Nondestructive Testing equipment
•Assist Technicians in performing NDT procedures and other operations as required
•Incumbent may be required to lead others, train, develop training, ensure compliance, supply financial input, scope projects
Education and Experience:
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Technical background preferred
•NDT Level II Certification in MT and UT required, additional Level II Certification in VT, RT and PT a plus

•Individual must follow all safety, environmental and regulatory policies so tasks and assignments are completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
•Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
•Good communication skills - must be able to interface effectively with many internal and external customers, regulatory officials, company contacts, co-workers and 3rd party contractors.
•Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software if applicable), trainable to custom software applications.
•Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
•Adaptable to changing schedules
•Exceptional attention to detail
•Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors with focused attention on details, work rules, and adherence to required project work schedules.
•Ability to read and interpret various company policies and procedures
•Focused on internal and external customer service.
•This position requires acting as a company representative when interacting with contractors and operators.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
•Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision
•Twist head and back for extended periods of time
•Ascend and descend slopes and ditches
•Work with hands above head, lying on back
•Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs
•Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
•Work in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
•The individual will be working outdoors, in a pipeline construction type of environment
•Work in and near industrial hazards.
•Work schedule during construction is Monday through Saturday, ten to twelve hours per day.
•This position requires extensive travel and overnight stays are frequent with work away from the reporting location required up to 80% of the time.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to clear a DOT drug screen and a complete background check after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed
•Valid drivers’ license required
•Valid TWIC is a plus but not required
