POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lease Operator will monitor and service wells in specified areas in order to optimize production and minimize operating costs.
- Monitor wells on a regular basis to ensure optimal performance and minimal issues/problems
- Work with Production Supervisor to find ways to help optimize production and Lease Operating Expenses (LOE)
- Monitor service company performance
- Maintain facilities in efficient operating condition and minimize downtime
- Work with Production Supervisor to analyze and solve any problems with equipment
- Work with Midstream department to increase or reduce flows as needed.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and production efficiencies
- Maintain daily communication with supervisor and engineering
- Support new well turn-ons
- Help to enforce safety and environmental requirements and compliance with all HSE policies
- Perform other duties as required
- Must be available to work on-call rotation, weekends, holidays, etc. as needed
- High school degree or equivalency thereof
- 1-2 years of oil and gas production operations experience preferred
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with MS Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong mechanical aptitude required
- Experience with I&E equipment and HMIs for pad operations
- Experience with artificial lift
- Ability to identify and fix problems with production equipment
- Ability to cooperate with all level of employees, management, and external agencies
- Possess the strong ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Ability to drive distances, walk on well locations, sit for extended periods of time in a vehicle or office, ability to type on a keyboard.
