Lead Tax Accountant

A DAY IN THE LIFE

- The Lead Tax Accountant is accountable for the collection of all tax-related information and for ensuring timely and accurate reporting to taxation authorities at the federal, state, county, and local levels.

- Serving as a subject matter expert, this role specializes in complex sales and use tax matters and leads audits, filings, and compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions.

- The position partners cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and project teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions, supports strategic tax planning, and contributes to the development of financial policies and internal controls.

- With deep expertise in construction-related tax issues, the Lead Tax Accountant plays a critical role in minimizing tax liabilities, resolving tax notices, and driving operational efficiency through proactive research and collaboration.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related degree; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- 8 or more years of progressive accounting, tax accountant, tax analyst or tax preparer related experience required.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

- Professional certification (e.g. CPA) preferred.

- Industry accounting acumen is preferred.

$98,589.00 - $142,955.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
