Lead Software Engineer

Lead Software Engineer, EKU Power Drives Inc., Spring, TX. Lead and part. in software dev for product releases w/ focus on data acquisition, cloud computing, data analysis, and embedded appl software. Design and implement interfaces for diverse array of machinery, utilizing comm protocols such as CAN, UDP, TCP/IP, and Modbus. Lead software testing and release process. Lead implementation of initial releases and work through resolution of bugs. Engage w/ clients and operational teams to gather critical feedback and delineate precise reqs. Define internal req and interfaces to other depts to support system dev projects. Provide support to bus dev for project scopes and timelines. Bach deg in Electrical Engr, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engr plus 2 yrs exp., incl. 2 yrs exp w/ embedded software dev (incl. CANoe and CANape) and cloud computing, data aggregation, and comm protocols such as Modbus, UDP, and CAN; 2 yrs of exp program/dev with Python and C++, IP networking (incl. create and integrate custom IP/LAN networks), and automated build pipelines using jenkins; and 1 yr exp with ind machinery automation, power electronics (Low/Medium voltage), and embedded systems.
