Job Description

This position provides management support to the group that is responsible for performing safety analysis and/or probabilistic risk assessments (PRA) in accordance with the appropriate industry standards and guidance, authoring and reviewing safety analysis/PRA-related documents, and providing results and insights to the design of X-energy technologies. This includes directing the work of individual contributors on the team, supporting the management of resource and organizational needs of the engineering team, and assisting with the creation and review of calculation documents that support and control the PRA or safety analysis model files, providing direction as necessary to promote consistency between analyses or models, using models, and applying them to a range of applications to support the design and future operation of X-energy projects and technologies.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

+ A master’s degree in engineering or related field (may include a combination of experience obtained through an academic institution, e.g., design projects, research, or design teams, as well as professional experience) may be in lieu of two years of experience. + A Ph.D. in engineering or related field (may include a combination of experience obtained through an academic institution, e.g., design projects, research, or design teams, as well as professional experience) may be in lieu of three years of experience. + Previous experience at X-energy meeting performance standards may be in lieu of years of experience.

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD

Work Site Expectations: 5 days in office

Travel Expectations: 10% (As needed for project assignment)

Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00 am ET to 5:00pm ET, Monday - Friday

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:

$150,000- $189,750 Position Job Classification
