Lead Janitorial Technicians work closely with district managers and field technicians. They are responsible for cleaning job sites, training employees, inspecting accounts, and supporting staff in the field. Part of their responsibility is to communicate with staff at all levels to ensure operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities
As a Lead Commercial Cleaning Technician you will be responsible for the following:
•Clean each site according to job site notes.
•Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
•Clean and restock restrooms, kitchens, and breakrooms.
•Gather and empty trash, recyclables, and shredders then change liners.
•Dust furniture, walls, machines, desks, counters, and equipment. (Leave customer’s personal belongings in place and only touch them to clean.)
•Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
•Change vacuum bags when full.
•Restock supplies and equipment.
•Travel to assigned job sites on time and prepared.
•View notes and schedules for each assigned shift.
•Provide coverage and support for field employees.
•Provide keys, supplies, and equipment for employees.
•Answer incoming employee calls.
•Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work.
•Effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction.
•Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients and co-workers.
•Review employee performance and inspect job sites, including supply closets.
•Use training, instructional methods, and procedures appropriate for the situation when training employees.
•Obtain and see to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
•Communicate changes and issues to the appropriate staff in a timely manner.
•Document issues and concerns in a timely manner.
•Utilize technology to communicate, complete, and track work.
•Confer with management to identify staffing and training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
•Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•Reliable means of transportation
•Smart phone with internet and the ability to download and use required apps
•Organizational skills and time management skills
•Ability to work independently
•Thorough understanding of the Cleaning Technician role and responsibilities
•Experience in a janitorial/cleaning supervisory role preferred
•Recognition of importance of confidentiality regarding company and client information
•Must be willing to learn
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Previous cleaning / janitorial supervisory experience is not required but a plus.
