Lead Irrigation Technician

Tommy Todd Landscape & Design is looking for a lead irrigation technician. Our company focuses on designing, building, and helping maintain high end residential landscapes. Irrigation systems are a vital component to helping ensure new and existing landscapes look their best for years to come. We are looking for a career minded candidate who has the necessary irrigation experience and skills required for the position as well as some experience working in a design build landscape company in an installation and/or maintenance capacity.

Responsibilities and Skills Required

Installation: Installing new irrigation systems, including mapping out areas, digging trenches, and connecting pipes and lines.

Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on existing systems, including checking for leaks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and replacing damaged components.

Repair: Diagnosing and repairing irrigation system issues, including electrical and hydraulic problems.

Testing: Testing installed systems to ensure proper functioning, including valve and timer operation. Troubleshooting:

Troubleshooting system problems and making necessary adjustments to optimize water distribution.

Client Communication: Working with clients to understand their needs, providing recommendations for system upgrades and improvements, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records of work performed and materials used, as well as client communication.

Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines when working on irrigation systems.

Additional Tasks:

Drainage Work: Ability to install PVC drainage systems that connect to roof drains, pool decks, as well as surface water redirection.

Landscape Work: As we are primarily a landscape company - candidates that have landscape installation and maintenance experience will be best suited to collaborate and help manage successful outcomes with other team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 42 per week
