About the role:

Lead Field Service Technicians will have an in-depth working knowledge of natural gas engines, compressors, and controls systems. Individuals should have a proficient operational and mechanical background pertinent to the oil and gas industry. The Lead Field Service Technician will have an abundance of working knowledge on gas compressor packages and the ability to perform mechanical, diagnostic, and analytical skills in a customer service-based environment with minimal to no supervision.

Duties:

• Must be proficient in electrical systems (i.e., panel boards, skid wiring, etc.)

• Perform preventive and corrective field mechanical service on gas compression equipment on site at client locations

• Maintain proficiency to accurately and efficiently diagnose all mechanical and electrical problems

• Perform overhauls on engines and compressors

• Maintain and grows customer relations

• Represent company in a professional manner

• Responsible for maintaining a company vehicle

• Adhere to all company policies and government HSE regulations

• Attend required HSE meetings and training

• Assist with other duties and assignments as needed

• Manage time and schedule

• Lead and assist other mechanics

• Complete and submit all documentation promptly

• Maintain accurate record keeping

• Respond to emergency maintenance callouts

• Perform task with minimal to no supervision

• Order parts for jobs and ability to help quote projects

• Travel as required

• Provide all basic hand tools (Company will provide all specialty tooling)

• Have a valid driver's license and a good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to Lead projects and provide direction to other Mechanics

• Minimum of five or more years as a gas compressor major maintenance mechanic with prior working experience with engines, gas compressors and/ or production equipment. May also have a mechanical or electrical background in another industry

• General knowledge of compressor packages including all component and systems

• OEM Training Certificates are a Plus
