Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to oversee electrical installations and maintenance on various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in reading schematics, working with high voltage systems, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role requires leadership capabilities to guide a team of electricians while ensuring safety and efficiency on construction sites.
Responsibilities
•Lead and supervise a team of electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
•Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute electrical installations accurately.
•Conduct high voltage electrical work while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
•Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters for testing electrical systems and troubleshooting issues.
•Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
•Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency or comply with updated codes.
•Ensure all work complies with the NEC standards and local regulations.
•Provide training and mentorship to junior electricians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
•Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
•Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus for integrated project execution.
•Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
•Experience working with high voltage systems is essential.
•Proficient in using testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
•Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
•Previous experience on construction sites is preferred.
•Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
