Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading a team of electricians in various tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of both low and high voltage systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Lead Electrician will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations while delivering high-quality electrical work.

Responsibilities

•

Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians on-site to ensure timely completion of projects.

•

Must be able to Manage a crew of 4-6

•

Must be ok with Travel

•

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage wiring.

•

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute electrical installations accurately.

•

Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform electrical tasks safely and efficiently.

•

Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify issues or areas for improvement.

•

Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.

•

Train and mentor junior electricians on best practices and safety protocols.

•

Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and handymen, to complete projects that require multi-trade skills.

Skills

•

Proficient in working with low voltage systems and high voltage systems.

•

Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.

•

Experience as an industrial electrician with a focus on safety and efficiency.

•

Ability to read schematics and technical documents accurately.

•

Familiarity with NEC regulations to ensure compliance in all electrical installations.

•

Skills in frame carpentry are a plus for integrated project work.

•

Competence in using an ohmmeter for testing electrical circuits.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
