Lead Data Engineer

to join their

Cell & Gene Therapy team in Santa Monica

.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll design and deliver

scalable data pipelines and architectures

, ensuring compliance in a

GxP environment

and collaborating across regulatory, CMC, and development functions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers while contributing hands-on to code, architecture design, and optimisation.

- Build and maintain robust

data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows

to support analytics, BI, and ML initiatives.

- Write clean, well-documented code in

Python, SQL, or Scala

.

- Implement data governance, quality, and security standards across data assets.

- Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 6+ years of experience in

data engineering

within life sciences (cell and gene)

- Strong programming in

Python & SQL

.

- Expertise in

cloud platforms

(Snowflake, AWS S3, etc.).

- Familiarity with

GxP processes

and regulatory environments.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
