The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $94,490 to $118,113
Job Summary
The Lead Analyst for Environmental & Permitting (E&P) provides environmental compliance & permitting oversight and assistance for Avangrid’s utility operations and capital projects. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations including, but not limited to, the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The Lead Analyst will coordinate with local, state and federal regulators and other stakeholders such as the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, State Historic Preservation Office, Department of Transportation, and others to ensure Avangrid’s continuous regulatory and permitting awareness and compliance.
The Lead Analyst is responsible for ensuring robust and compliant spill response, waste and material management, environmental reporting (such as greenhouse gas reporting: SF6, CH4, CO2), as well as continuous monitoring for environmental risk factors and coordination of necessary communications and risk mitigation response.
The Lead Analyst works closely with Avangrid Project Managers, Engineers, Construction Managers, Outreach and Energy Land Management staff, in addition to design and consulting engineers, during project design process to ensure all environmental permitting and compliance requirements are met.
The Lead Analyst reports to the Environmental & Permitting Manager.
