Responsibilities

- Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways

- Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to ensure healthy turf and vibrant gardens

- Maintain landscape features through pruning, tree trimming, and shrub shaping to promote plant health and aesthetic appeal

- Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (weed eaters, blowers, trimmers) safely and effectively

- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns

- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including soil preparation, mulching, aeration, and pest control measures

- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible

- Help with excavation tasks using equipment such as mini-excavators for planting beds or drainage projects

- Support hardscape construction projects by preparing surfaces and assisting with stone or concrete work

- Follow safety protocols at all times while working with machinery like excavators or power tools

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality

Experience

- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or outdoor maintenance is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for motivated learners

- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and power tools is advantageous

- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest management is a plus

- Basic understanding of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, tree care, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation is desirable

- Ability to operate small machinery like excavators or snow plows is beneficial but not mandatory

- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely in outdoor environments

- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and performing manual labor in various weather conditions
