Landman II
Arsenal Resources is seeking a Landman II for our Bridgeport, West Virginia office location. The Landman will be responsible for evaluating potential development opportunities and delivering drillable units for the company’s north-central West Virginia drilling operations.
Responsibilities Include:
•Manage multiple Surface projects at different stages of acreage planning and development while meeting the overall Land Surface goals of the company
•Communicate and partner with various landowners to negotiate Surface Use Agreements
•Identify and review potential Well Pads and Right of Ways in the company’s drilling development plan
•Analyze title, and perform research of public records to determine curative requirements and identify land ownership
•Serve as liaison between both internal and external business partners, and maintain good relationships with landowners and other business stakeholders
•Handle complaints and inquiries from the public, arbitrate and resolve grievances
•Prepare, review, and interpret all surface related agreements and documents
•Coordinate with department staff, geology, construction, drilling, water, completions, and permitting as part of the planning and well clearing and surface process
•Supervise field contract personnel for planning and acquisitions
•Coordinate weekly administrative updates, reports, and meetings
•Other duties as necessary
Desired Skills and Experience:
•Bachelor's Degree in Business or Land Management; relevant experience may be substituted
•5+ years of land experience; in house experience preferred; previous experience managing projects and contractors preferred
•Proficient with MS Office Products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook with the ability to learn other software programs as necessary
•Experience with Enertia and/or other land management programs a plus
•Local to the Appalachian Basin preferred; Marcellus experience required
•Active WV Notary; AAPL membership preferred; RPL preferred; Current Valid Driver’s License
•Ability to collaborate with internal departments, management, and external agencies to ensure all tasks are completed in most efficient manner
•Ability to use foresight and identify opportunities and challenges with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
•Possess the strong ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
•Excellent organizational and teamwork skills with strong attention to detail
