is seeking a detail-oriented and driven
Land Technician
to join our team. This position will play a vital role in providing technical expertise and hands-on support for land acquisition, management, and administration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both technical proficiency and a strong understanding of oil and gas land operations.
Key Responsibilities:
•Support Landman in acquisition and divestiture efforts
•Organize and manage land files to ensure compliance with internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
•Input and maintain data in the land management system and related databases.
•Assist in the preparation of reports, summaries, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
•Support Landman in title research to verify mineral and leasehold ownership and resolve chain-of-title issues.
•Assist with the preparation and review of curative documents and conveyance instruments.
•Organize and review agreements including lease assignments, surface use agreements, and JOAs.
•Coordinate with operators, regulatory agencies, and industry partners on land-related issues.
•Prepare and submit regulatory filings and support compliance tracking.
•Utilize GIS tools and mapping software to visualize acreage positions and ownership.
•Collaborate closely with the Landman and other departments (Legal, Finance, Engineering) to support asset management goals.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Energy Commerce, Petroleum Land Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
•1–3 years of experience in land administration or land management
Technical Skills
•Experience in land systems such as Quorum Land, P2 Land, or similar platforms preferred.
•Experience using GIS/mapping tools to analyze tracts and ownership.
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
