Description
Ascent Resources is seeking to fill a Land Technician role. The position is located in Oklahoma City, OK and will report to a Supervisor in the Land Department. Title will be determined by respective level of experience.
This position will provide technical support and assistance with all land operation functions to an assigned landman within a designated area of responsibility.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities•Provide technical support to Landman
•Prepare, distribute, maintain, organize, and process land documents
•Track status of well proposals, JOAs, DPUs and/or DSUs, and any associated amendments or counterparts
•Verify and process vendor invoices
•Field inquiries and appropriately respond to partner and owner relations issues
•Perform cursory review of lease agreements and contracts at Landman discretion
•Track title status for purpose of lease payments
•Continually update lease records and monitor lease obligations
•Update land systems with new contracts, interests, partners, unit/well names, and other pertinent changes
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Minimum Requirements:
•Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
•Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and exercise efficient time management
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
•Great work ethic and reliability
•Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Preferred:
•General understanding of working interest and net revenue interest calculations, lease and contract terms, and regulatory filings
•Ability to analyze title and prepare divisions of interest and various contracts
•Prior experience using land related programs such as Quorum and GIS
Education & Work Experience Required

•1+ years of experience as a Land Tech, Land Assistant and/or Land Analyst
