Basic Purpose
Responsible for all aspects of land surveying to include pre-construction and as-built land surveying, earthwork and volumetric calculations, field note reduction, balancing of level runs, completes boundary and sectionalized land breakdown. Performs interpreting, understanding and retracing land/legal descriptions and interpretation of descriptor calls; prepares Parcel Maps and Record of Surveys and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Interprets, reviews and reduces survey field data for incorporation into new and ongoing projects including standard survey data as well as scanned data, photogrammetry and point clouds. Calculates and prepares field survey data and notes on pre-construction projects and provides technical survey expertise to construction and design personnel as well as immediate co-workers. (30%)Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Essential Education, Skills, and EnvironmentEducation and Work Experience
EAC/ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree or a Board approved equivalent and eight years of survey experience.
Candidates that do not possess a degree must have a minimum of 12 years of related work experience as a Land Technician or similar capacity.
Registration as a Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Nevada is required or must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire date.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of:* NRS 265 and 278 laws, surveying methods, calculations, earthwork, volumetric, and engineering practices.Demonstrated skills such as:* Analytical, interpersonal and communication.
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Work Environment and Physical Demands
General office environment. No special physical demands required. Some travel may be required.
Annual Salary: $90,200 (Min) to $106,200 (Mid); Up to 12% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
