Preference will be given to someone living in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Language: English

Education: College/University will be given preference

Experience: 3-5 years will be given preference

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toe safety boots

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Vehicle supplied by employer, Willing to travel

Employment Conditions: Overtime, early morning, morning, day, evening, shift, weekend. 21 days on, 10 days off

Work Location Information: Labrador, based in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

Additional Skills: To aid/help field crews, read and interpret blueprints, map, drawings and specifications

Field Skills Experience: Traditional survey equipment, Total station operation, Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Specific Skills: To aid lead surveyor in recording all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities, determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment, analyze, manage and display data using geographic information systems and computer-aided design and drafting, conduct or direct surveys or survey programs.

Survey Specialization: Engineering, Topographic, Geodetic, Construction, Hydrographic

Work Setting: Engineering firm, Remote or mobile

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Survey Technologist Trade Certificate Preferred, Chainsaw Safety Certificate is an asset

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00/hr

Job Type: Temporary

Contract length: 3-4 months

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
