Percheron is seeking a highly motivated and diverse Land Management Intern for our Summer 2025 internship program. Summer interns provide assistance to the land department while gaining valuable experience and insight regarding the inner workings of a land department’s role within the upstream, midstream, utilities and renewable organization. This is a paid full-time position. This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders.
Assist the land department and field agents with day-to-day tasks including:
•Assist the documents department with various document support functions.
•Assist land agents with ownership research.
•Assist field land agents with title research at the county courthouse.
•Assist field land agents with negotiating surface access and road/pipeline rights-of-way.
•Assist GIS Tech with mapping projects.
•Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.
•Supports company vision and mission.
•Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
•Other duties as assigned by management.
•The summer intern will spend at least two to three weeks in the field working with our project managers in one of Percheron’s various leasing or pipeline right-of-way projects.
•Must be in your final two years of obtaining your degree.
•Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0
•Previous experience with an oil and gas company land department or experience with an independent landman is preferred but not required.
•Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
•Self-motivated, detail orientated person
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
•Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow
•Progressively working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Land Management, Energy Commerce, Petroleum Land Management, or equivalent degree from an A.A.P.L. accredited program.
