Summer interns provide assistance to the land department while gaining valuable experience and insight regarding the inner workings of a land department and the land department’s role within the upstream oil and gas organization. Essential Job Responsibilities:* Assist the landmen, land techs and the field brokers with day to day tasks including: + Assist in-house landmen with mailing out Authorization for Expenditures “AFE” to working interest partners + Assist in-house landmen with ownership research + Assist field landmen with title research at the county courthouse + Assist field landmen with negotiating surface access and road/pipeline right-of-ways. + Work royalty owner hot line desk + Assist GIS Tech with mapping projects
Other Job Responsibilities:* Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:* Previous experience with an oil and gas company land department or experience with an independent landman is preferred but not required.
Education Requirements:* Progressively working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Management, Energy Commerce, Petroleum Land Management, or equivalent degree from an A.A.P.L. accredited program.
