We are seeking a reliable, hardworking General Labourer to support our operations in Prince George, BC. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced, outdoor industrial environment. The ideal candidate is safety‑focused, physically fit, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.
- Maintain housekeeping of shop and yard; sweep, organize, and keep work areas clean and hazard free;
- Remove waste and recyclables; ensure proper disposal practices are followed.
- Assist with shipping and receiving, load/unload, verify packing slips, label, and stage orders.
- Pressure wash and detail equipment and company vehicles.
- Assist with preventative maintenance: cleaning, greasing, checking fluid levels and temperatures, and documenting findings.
- Report maintenance requirements and repair needs promptly to the Shop Foreman.
- Put away parts, maintain tidy racking, and assist the Shop Foreman with inventory organization and counts.
- Pick up parts and make deliveries as needed; operate company vehicles safely and professionally.
- Take appropriate care of Kode property and equipment; use tools and PPE correctly.
- Actively participate in Kode’s Safety Program and client safety programs: comply with online training, lockout/tagout, daily toolbox meetings, field level hazard assessments (FLHA), and wear required PPE
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman to support team objectives.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence; clean drivers abstract required on hire.
- Physically fit; able to lift up to [50–75 LBS/23–34 KG], stand/walk for extended periods, and work indoors/outdoors year round.
- Safety focused with a strong work ethic; able to follow procedures and take direction.
- Mechanically inclined; comfortable with basic tools and equipment.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills; reliable, responsible, and punctual.
- Able to pass drug and alcohol testing when required for site access.
- Willing to work occasional weekends and travel out of town from time to time.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (wind, snow, rain, heat, cold).
