About the Role

As a utility operator, you’ll work in a work environment where no two days are the same. Whether you’re digging trenches as a laborer, operating, performing maintenance, or engaging with customers, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operations of our natural gas systems.

Utility Operators cover a range of responsibilities, your day-to-day tasks may include:

- Maintaining and repairing gas distribution systems to ensure safe operations.

- Assisting with the installation of new gas lines and infrastructure.

- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and proficiently.

- Engaging with customers to resolve service issues.

- Responding to emergencies to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.

- Assemble, inspect, test, and maintain gas meters and related equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

What You’ll bring:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

- Valid Alberta Class '5' Driver’s License with a clean driver abstract.

- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment testing, including background check and drug and alcohol screening.

- Experience in gasfitting, hydrovac, landscaping, general labor, trades, construction, mechanical, or field service work would be an asset.

- Physical stamina for working outdoors in all weather conditions.
