Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will support various shop operations, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role is essential for maintaining workflow and assisting in the production process.

Duties

- Assist in the assembly of products on the assembly line, ensuring quality standards are met.

- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.

- Utilize forklifts to move materials within the facility as needed (certification preferred).

- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines within the manufacturing facility.

Skills

- Previous factory experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform maintenance tasks.

- Experience working on an assembly line, demonstrating efficiency in repetitive tasks.

- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools, ensuring safe operation at all times.

- Warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in inventory control and logistics.

- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
