Requirements

ISO17025 quality environment and knowledge of the standards

•

Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and results oriented

Demonstrate strong time management, organizational and prioritizing skills

Possess strong analytical abilities with ability to multi-task and to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines

•

Detail oriented and pro-active

•

Trouble shooting skills/ability to provide suggestions and act on the next plausible step

•

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team member, independently and work with minimal supervision

•

Display willingness to put in the needed effort to ensure that the tasks are completed in the required time

•

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

•

Ability to deliver results on time and to the very high standards

•

Willing to work shifts, overtime and week-ends if required

Responsibilities

May include some or all of the following; or any other tasks assigned directly or indirectly by the Manager

•

Preparation of samples & calibration standards for ICP and AAS analysis

•

Sample dissolution,

•

Complete required logs

•

Daily set-up & operation of ICP and AAS instrument

•

Maintenance and trouble-shooting of ICP and AAS Instrument

•

Disposal of analyzed samples and instrument waste;

•

General laboratory housekeeping

•

Compliance with company’s Health and Safety, company policies and professional conduct policies
