POSITION SUMMARY: The Lab Technician is responsible for all aspects of sampling and testing of raw material and finished products.
- Sampling and testing incoming loads.
- Collect, inventory and test sample disks.
- Perform hydrogen tests on said materials.
- Operate equipment such as a spectrometer and lathe.
- Perform pot assays on received material.
- Responsible for maintaining of lab equipment.
- Report findings on appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Regular and timely attendance is an expectation of the position.
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
- Prior lab experience or technical aptitude preferred.
- Computer skills required (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)

- Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
- Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including making general observations of facilities.
- The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Some protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Also subject to dust, dirt, and extreme noise.
