This role is centered around performing precise laboratory testing to analyze the chemical and physical characteristics of materials, supporting quality control, process optimization, and product development. The technician prepares, tests, and evaluates raw materials and manufactured products using a wide array of lab equipment/instrumentation (e.g., ICP-OES, spectrophotometers, BET surface area analyzer). Responsibilities also include recording results, preparing and shipping samples, and maintaining lab cleanliness, safety, and equipment performance.
The position requires a methodical, detail-oriented individual who thrives in repetitious, structured environments and consistently delivers high-quality, accurate results. Success depends on following established procedures, working patiently through tasks, and communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
With supportive training and coaching, the technician grows into a valued technical expert. The ideal candidate is process-driven, collaborative, and focused on continual development and precision. Leadership within the role is supportive, emphasizing hands-on learning and delegation when appropriate.
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one-year related experience or successful completion of on-the-job training recorded on the annual evaluation.
The shift will be Friday through Monday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.
