Position: Junior to Intermediate Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer

Location: Lloydminster, Alberta

Education: B.Sc. Engineering (E.I.T./P.Eng.) or

Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma (T.T./C.E.T.) or

Journeyman Electrician

Experience/Responsibilities:

Junior to Intermediate (minimum 2+ years office-based oil and gas engineering or design and drafting experience)

Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is essential. Candidates must be registered with a Canadian professional engineering/engineering technologist association, or as a registered Journeyman electrician in Alberta or Saskatchewan.

· Require an elemental knowledge of oil and gas electrical systems including low and medium voltage power distribution, PLC and DCS control systems, equipment layout and control panel designs, hazardous area classification, cable sizing, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams etc.

· Willing to attend and discuss findings in meetings with the client and other engineering disciplines.

· Working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.

· Must be well versed with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).

· Previous experience with power system modeling software (ETAP) would be an asset.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Access, MS Projects or Primavera would be beneficial.

· A valid driver’s license is required as some local travel and field work will be required.

· Excellent organizational and management skills; inter-personal, written & verbal communication skills are a necessity.

· The position will involve electrical drafting, design, project management, procurement, quality assurance and control, and other related responsibilities.
