Junior OSP Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Junior OSP Engineer. In this entry-level role, you will assist in the design of OSP installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecommunications infrastructure. This position offers opportunities for career growth and training in a fast-paced, outdoor work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Engage directly with the customers in the field regarding telecom processes and installation

· Support the installation, maintenance, and updates of the fiber optic network

· Implement engineering standards and develop engineer specifications

· Process work orders and perform field work for plant operations

· Regularly communicate with team members and clients on project progress

· Perform other work-related tasks, as assigned

Qualifications:

· Locate facilities is a plus

· Willingness to learn

· Understand installation methods (underground boring, aerial placement, splicing, etc. a plus but not required

· Ability to read prints a plus

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills a plus

· Valid driver’s license

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Willingness to travel as needed

· Must pass background test

· Must pass drug test
