This entry-level position within the Cyber Security team reports to the Vice President - Information Security. The Junior Network Security Analyst will focus on security monitoring, incident response, and implementing zero-trust security principles and policies, primarily through the administration of Zscaler security solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of networking fundamentals and cybersecurity principles, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
The Cyber Security team is responsible for protecting Vulcan's information assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its data. The Junior Network Security Analyst will work closely with senior security analysts, network engineers, and other IT teams to maintain a secure and resilient network environment.
Security Monitoring: Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security tools to detect and investigate potential security threats.
Incident Response: Assist in the investigation and remediation of security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attacks, and network intrusions.
Threat Intelligence: Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities and contribute to the development of security policies and procedures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security incidents, procedures, and configurations.
