Junior Mechanical Designer (Inventor Exp)

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and components, contributing to innovative projects that meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in mechanical knowledge and design principles, with proficiency in industry-standard software tools.

Position purpose

The Mechanical Designer creates mechanical fabrication drawings and documents for production.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

· Review project requirements

· Produce 3D drawings based on specs

· Interact with sales and project engineering to resolve questions

· Revise drawings to meet customer final requirements

· Create BOM and do calculations to ensure accuracy

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Associate’s Degree or equivalent in drafting/design

· Minimum 1-2 years experience

· Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 2021

· Ability to read drawings, as well as P& ID

· Demonstrated ability to read and understand specifications
